The Taggart Family Foundation is a non-profit organization co-founded by Willie Taggart—a prominent American football coach (currently with the Baltimore Ravens)—and his wife, Taneshia Taggart.
The foundation is primarily dedicated to bridging the opportunity gap for youth in underserved communities through education, mentorship, and professional development.
To empower youth by providing access to transformative opportunities in education, sports, workforce development, and personal growth.
To create a future where every young person has the chance to reach their full potential regardless of their socioeconomic background.
The foundation’s work is organized into several “Core Pillars” designed to provide a holistic support system for students:
Willie Taggart (Founder): Brings over 25 years of experience in collegiate and professional sports. Having been the first African-American head coach at five different Division I programs (including Florida State and Oregon), his personal journey from a small-town quarterback to an NFL coach serves as the foundation’s primary inspiration.
Taneshia Taggart (Co-Founder): Plays a central role in the foundation’s operations, focusing on family-centric empowerment and equity.
