Programming for Teens
Change Reaction Baltimore is proud to offer specialized programming designed to support the mental health and personal development of teens in our Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program. Our classes aim to equip young individuals with practical skills and coping strategies to navigate challenges they may face, while fostering resilience and emotional well-being.
1. Managing Stress and Anxiety:
In this class, teens learn effective tools and techniques to understand and manage stress and anxiety. Participants explore mindfulness practices, relaxation exercises, and healthy coping mechanisms to reduce feelings of overwhelm and regain control in stressful situations.
2. Coping with Peer Pressure:
Teens will gain valuable insights into how peer pressure can impact their decisions and well-being. This class focuses on building confidence, assertiveness, and decision-making skills, empowering teens to stand up for themselves and make choices that align with their values and goals.
3. Substance Abuse Awareness and Prevention:
Understanding the risks of substance use is essential for teens in today’s world. In this class, participants explore the dangers of substance abuse, the importance of making informed choices, and how to identify and avoid situations where substance use may be present. Students will also learn about available resources for support and recovery.
4. Goal Setting and Motivation:
This class provides teens with the tools to set realistic, meaningful goals and stay motivated to achieve them. By focusing on developing a growth mindset and breaking down large goals into manageable steps, teens will gain confidence in their abilities and build a path toward personal success.
These classes are designed to help teens build emotional resilience, improve mental health, and develop skills that will serve them throughout their lives. At Change Reaction Baltimore, we’re committed to supporting each teen on their journey toward self-discovery, wellness, and positive change.
